Mummy's day at KL

Last weekend was Mother's day. Mother's all around the world are honoured for their endless self sacrifice for their children and families.

This year we had a little extra for mother's day. We went to Kuala Lumpur. It was oraganise by mum's ustaz(religious teacher) for 3 days and 2 nights starting from Friday morning till Sunday night.

Friday
The coach picked us up in the morning at Jurong East. After going pass customs and all, we had breakfast at Gelang Patah R&R. After which we headdown to the nearest mosque for our friday prayers. After all is done, we headed to our first shopping point at Nilai 3 in Negeri Sembilan. Nilai 3 is a shopping haven. It was kinda like Geylang except that it has more variety of stuffs and its about the size of 20 football fields. Yes it is that big. What i meant about more variety is that it sells everything, anything and all things. Whatever you want you can find it there, you just have to look in the right shop.

After Nilai 3 we head down to KL to check into our hotel. Quality hotel is the name and yes they do measure up to the quality. 4 stars mind you. After settling in, we went to Sogo for dinner. The nearest shopping centre. After dinner was back to the hotel and sleep.

Saturday
Had breakfast at the hotel and yes I had a heavy breakfast. Its been awhile I had hotel food. The first program for the day was a visit to a chocolate boutique. Which sells the strangests chocolate flavours you'll ever hear. Durian flavoured chocolate, sesame seed flavoured chocolate, papaya flavoured and etc. They may not sound as appetizing as they look. but mind you the durian and sesame flavoured chocolate tasted fantastic.

Next up was a short visit to the KLCC twin towers. Took a few pictures and we went shopping in the Suria KLCC shopping centre. The place was somewhat like Takashimaya. All the shops were all the high end branded stuffs like Versace, Gucci, Rolex and Etc. Well being middle income people we could only window shop haha. After that we headed down to Times square. The biggest shopping centre in KL, with an indoor theme park and 2 hotels built into it. The time spent given was only an hour so we didnt have much time to try the rides so we could only watch it from afar. It kinda sucks coz the roller coaster looks tempting.

After times square, we head down to Petaling street where they sell all the imitation stuffs. More like a night market and a place for bargain hunters. Bought a pair of red oakley shades for only 20 ringgit which was about 10 Spore dollars. Cheap huh. Dad bought a liverpool jersey, I wanted a Manchester United long sleeve jersey but the shop owner didnt want to lower the price so we left. Mum bought handbags and Syarah got 2 t-shirts. Putri and Meera didnt find anything they like so they didnt buy anything. After petaling street we went down to Jalan Masjid India, another night market but this time it was more like Geylang. Where they sell lots and lots of cloths. Lots more than in Geylang.

After Masjid Jalan India, we went back to the hotel for dinner. After which we retired back to our rooms. That night was the FA cup final between Liverpool and West Ham. Dad and I we pumped up for action but unfortunately, the TV only offers ESPN. The live coverage was being shown on Star Sports. Dad was pretty upsets but what can we do. But sleep and wait for the results in the morning.

Sunday
Had breakfast again in the hotel. Good news liverpool won by penalties. Dad as estatic. But we heard West Ham gave a good fight. Oh and did I mention Dad wore his liverpool jersey. haha. After breakfast we checked out of the hotel and had a pit stop at Putrajaya. Where the prime minister's office is. Took a lot of pictures there coz the view was fantastic. Oh and yes I bought mum a bag here. My mummy's day present for her. After putrajaya we visited a bee museum in Malacca. It was cool. I didnt know there were so many different kinds of bees around the world. Putri was a little scared coz ever since that episode with a bee a last year. She got stung and that was it, she hate bees for life. haha. After the bee museum we went to Mahkota parade for a little shopping before heading to the Mahkota hotel for the Mother's day high tea.

The high tea was pretty boring. It wasn't really oraganise and the food wasn't that nice either. Nothing much to report here. After the high tea, we were homeward bound. Stopped by Gelang patah R&R again for a mandatory rest period. Had a light dinner then off we were back to Singapore.

We had fun. Most importantly, Mum enjoyed herself the most. Its been awhile since I've been to KL. The place was still the same as i imagine well maybe the traffic condition kinda gotten worst. Motorcycles beating the red light left, right, center. Remind me never to drive in malaysia. Unless its an emergency. But other that that the place is ok. Singapore is still better haha.

Olrite thats it for my adventure in KL. Oh stay tune for updates about the pictures will upload them in multiply soon. ciao then
