Finally the day has arrive... Tommorow on the 7th of September at 9 in the morning, I Muhammad Syafiq Bin Mohamed Johan will take my first step into becoming a man. I will join the Singapore Armed Forces under the enlistment act as a National Serviceman for 2 years. I have yet to know my company but all I know is that I'm in BMTC school 2.
Had always anticipated this day since young. Use to go around wearing fake army uniforms my mum bought for me from the nearby market, with my toy M16 which will make a "rat-a-tat-tat" noise everytime i pull the trigger. Since I didnt have any brothers or sister then, my only companion was my cat, Pipit. Would chase him around the house shouting "CHARGE!!!" or "FIRE!!!" or any other words from my limited Army Vocabulary.
Then in secondary school, I joined the National Cadet Corps. Finally had a taste of how millitary life would be. Wore my first official Army uniform. The "No. 4" or "smart 4" as some would call it. Fired my first bullet out of a real M16. The feeling was exhilarating. The recoil of the weapon against my shoulder, the smell of the gun-powder after each shot and stripping down the weapon to clean up the parts after the shoot. I felt lucky. Not many 15 year olds got the chance to shoot or let alone handle a real rifle. But all those we during my adolescence years.
Now, its the real thing. A real soldier. A protector of my country. A protector of my love ones. Most importantly becoming a MAN. I don't know to the explain it but people who go through National Service kind of go through a transaction, a transformation, its like during that 2 years, you turn from a mere boy into a man. That is how i perceive it.
OK enough bout the mumbo jumbo Rambo thing. I'm excited really. Some of you might thing, "Syafiq's gonna join the Army". NAH, i actually wanna join the Police Force. Its funny right. I join NCC and in the end all I wanna be is a policeman. Then why didnt I join NPCC you might ask? Well to tell you the truth I almost did. But you know how fickle minded the 13 year old mind is. I was seduce by the NCC, brainwashed by the Cadet Lieutenant then. I can still remember his name, Senior Cadet Lieutenant Kumaran. He was a nice guy. Look after us and train us and treat us like his own siblings. Maybe thats why, I chose NCC over NPCC. But personally I think its the propaganda haha. "NCC is better than NPCC".
Yesterday had my last outing with a group of friends. Initially, I had other plans though. Wanted to surprise a friend over at her NTU dorm. Any of you watched "love Actually"? the part where the guy did some signs in front of the girl he love but she's married to his best friend?
Well I actually wanted to do that haha. It was crazy I tell you. I didnt know what overcame me. Borrowed my sister's drawing block and wrote a few messages. But my whole plan backfired. She wasnt at her dorm. Muhahahaha. The funniest part was actually going up to knocking her door. It took me 4 tries to actually pluck up the courage to knock. Each time I my hand would freeze just a few centimetres away from the door. And when I finally did knock, nobody answered. "KWANG KWANG KWANG" she's not home. So there goes my plans for the day. Left a note with her friend and went home. Surprise-surprise, Grandma came to visit. So spent a little time with her. Sent her home later in the evening and went to meet a couple of friends at the nearby coffeeshop. Zulhakim, Azrul, Fidi and Fizz. Fidi had to go off early coz of work. So the four of us, Zul, Az , Fizz and me talked bout off time over Milo dinasaur and fries. Azrul had just pass out of BMT earlier that day so he gave me and Fizz some tips. By the way Fizz is entering at the same time as me. Zul has yet to receive his letter. So after talking, we decided to head down to Taman Jurong Superbowl for a game of bowling, after which we had ice cream at the nearby McDonalds.
It was almost 2.30am when I reached home. Woke up late this morning. Double check my bag and make sure everythings packed and ready to go tomorrow. and here I am updating What would me my final entry of my adolescene life haha. Will try to update once in awhile when I book out during the weekends.
So thank you all for your encouraging words, good luck messages and miss you messages. I would still bring in my handphone but will ony switch it on at night. So if I dont reply your messages, I'm sorry in advance. Update me bout the outside world will ya guys? oh most importantly UPDATE ME BOUT THE EPL!!!! (someone offered to do that actually, thank you, you know who you are)
So farewell my fellow blogger readers... Till next time(I wonder when is that?)

Pre-NS routemarch from Tanjong Pagar to Orchard......
Hey all, as you all know. I've only 5 days left till bye bye pink IC and hello 11-B. Yes the day where all young male Singaporeans turn into MEN. 7 Sept is the date and 9am is the reporting time. So if any of you wanna leave any "bye bye, im gonna miss you" or "Go!!! and dont come back" messages please do so by the 6th.
Anyway to today's event, call me crazy, stupid, goondu or watever word related to insane but I walked from Tanjong Pagar all the way to Orchard road. So ok ok some of you will say "easy what!!! very near". Well lets just say I took a longer route.....
My journey started off at Tanjong Pagar MRT station. Dress in a white t-shirt and jeans, arm with my trusty Timbuk2 sling bag and not so trusty Mp3 player(I'll come to that non-trusty part later), I head down towards "GB building" to collect some gift pack for my parents from AXA insurance. After collecting the stuffs. Was contemplating whether to head home or maybe do a little sight-seeing(wasn't really litte but alot). The initial plan was to met up with a friend of mine but he was kinda busy so its just me myself and I.
Headed towards MPH which was along "Robinson Road". Browse thru a few books. Msg a friend and after awhile head off towards "Lau Pa Sat". From "Lau Pa Sat", I headed to Raffles Place MRT station and it was here that I made my decision at a fork. Left to Raffles MRT which means home or Right to "one Marina Boulevard". Being the adventure cum curious type, I head right.
Came out of "One Marina Boulevard" only to be greeted by contructions. Not much scenary. So I walked along "Collyer Quay Road" past the now deserted and under-construction "Clifford Pier". So I press on. walk along the river towards "One Fullerton" and guess who I met?
Good old Merlion, spitting litres and litres of water into the river. You may think, I'm a little "Jakun" or excited. But to tell you the truth. In all my 20 years. I've never really travel around Singapore much. So I dunno what is where or let alone seen the Merlion from such a close vicinity. Usually I would just look at him/her from the esplanade across the bank. Ok back to the story...
After bidding farewell to Merlin(thats what I named the Merlion), Walk across the Anderson bridge to a path called "Queen Elizabeth Walk". God knows why they name that walk after the Queen of England. But I guess it has got something to do bout the time she came to visit. Walk pass the "Padang" and "Parliment house" and turn right into "Esplanade".
So it was here that my Mp3 player ran out of batteries(thus the not-so-trusty) and I kinda ran out of cash to buy extras. So I took a short rest here along esplanade. Took a sip of water and watch some band setting up for tonight's performance.
After resting I head down to "City-link mall". Pit stop at "MPH" and "HMV". After which I head out towards "Raffles City". After "Raffles City", Walk along "North Bridge Road" and found out where "Raffles Hotel" is (Yes I didnt know where Raffles Hotel was, so laugh if u want too). Press on and found out the location of the new National Library (Yeah laugh again if u want 2, I didnt know bout this either).
Reached "BUGIS". Head up to Kunikuya(or something like that) bookstore browse thru a few books and comics. After I got bored, I decided to head back down to town. Unfortunately, with my limited knowledge of the Singapore map, I went the wrong direction. Headed to wards "Sim Lim Square" by cutting thru "Bugis village".
Even after I had past "Sim Lim Square", I headed straight ahead and found myself at "Rochor Canal Road" just opposite "Tekka Mall" any further I would have hit "Bukit Timah". It was then that I realise how far I had walked!!!
Pit stop at "Little India Mrt station". Found a map and I tried to get my bearings right again. So backtrack to "Rochor Canal Road" and slip into "Selegie Road". OK now im back into familiar territory. Pass the old "Rex theater", stop by "Parklane Shopping Mall" to check out some comics and made a right at "Prinsip Street" out into "Orchard Road".
Pass "Cathy building". Pass "PLaza Singapura". Pass the "Istana", oh I saw the "royal guards" change shift and a car being inspect before going into the "Istana", pretty cool shyte. After that it was all the way up Orchard road.
Time check it was already 6pm. Stop by "Al-Falah mosque". Did my almost overdue late afternoon prayers and final pit stop at Taka's Kunikuya. Found some stuffs I was looking for and by then It was already time for evening prayers. Head back to "Al-Falah". Rest for awhile at the mosque and since it was already past 7pm, I guess its wise to head home now.
So there you have it. My Pre-NS route march from Tanjong Pagar all the way to Orchard Road. But I didnt really head home. Drop by SP for some TKD training. Muhaha. Crazy I tell you. If my legs could talk, I guess they would be cursing and swearing by now.
After that long walk kinda realise how small Singapore is. Probably the reason why I didnt feel tired was that I was kinda enjoying myself. Saw places I didnt knew existed. Found out where Raffles Hotel and The National Library is. Saw the different walks of life. From the Japanese tourist at the Merlion to the Chinese at Albert street to the Indians at Tekka Mall and of course the malays and other races all over Orchard Road. I guess it wasnt a wasted day after all. I've learnt loads of stuffs and guess what, my dad got lost once when he was young and he too walked along Padang, pass Clifford Pier. But he walked along Shenton way down towards Harbour Front, back home at, I cant remember the name of the street he was staying at. But still the similarity of us walking great distances and using Public transport as our guide was overwhelming. (I use the MRT as a guide as where I should move next while my dad had to rely on the buses). Like Father Like Son I guess.....
So here I am after a loooooooooooooong days walk. Updating my blog, feet feeling alittle numb after all those walking, feeling alittle sleepy also. I guess Thats all for now. I'll try to update before the 7th. Probably thats gonna be the the last for now. Won't be updating so often (as if i was updating everyday). So yup. Take care all and good nite... ciao

EPL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Football season is back and MAN UNITED started the season with a BANG!!!!!! 5-1 trashing of Fulham. Haha I couldn't have been more happier.... Liverpool and Arsenal draw. But Chelski beat Man city 3 nil. Nevermind we still top the table...for now haha...
Ok ok before I go on yapping bout football and what nots... I wanna wish 2 of my dear friends Happy birthday. Liza and Mamat both from Singapore poly. Happy birthday guys wish you all the best in the coming years and stay happy always....
Next, Rooney and Ronaldo were fantastic man. They look lethal together. Forget the incident in WC2006. Here comes the ROONALDO EFFECT!!!! Fantastic I tell you. I have a feeling its gonna be a good year this year. But pity Rooney and Scholes will have to sit out the next 3 games. DAMN. Dad said something bout Rooney has matured, instead of usually smashing the ball into the net he choose to place the ball. Haha I dunno bout the mature part but ya i notice he place the ball for both his goals last night but he still looks as Rooney as ever to me.
It just burns me up to see a favorite player playing in a team you don't really fancy much. Why you have to go become a blue Sheva? I've been a long admirer of Shevchenko. Seeing him in a Chelsea shirt just burns me up all the time... But nonetheless he's still one of the best...
That new Chelsea guy name Kolou or something like that, He's good man. A lot of potential. Essien's improving.
ITS GONNA BE A GREAT SEASON but damn im going tekong in 2 weeks time. Eh but weekend still can watch football, but I'll be damn tired man to stay up and watch... haiz we'll see we'll see...
Lastly, its funny how songs can effect you in many ways. Few days ago I wasn't really feeling too good. No im not sick. Something happen lah but I dont wanna talk about it. Its probably something stupid. Anyway, Munir and I were exchanging songs. I'm kinda in the old-shool malay rock/jiwang genre nowadays. Was searching for songs from Dinodi when Munir said not to listen to Dinodi's Cinta tragika. Well being curious, the more you said no, the more I want to hear it. So yeah listen to it and woah the lyrics hit me like a locomotive. That night I couldn't sleep.
The next day, again we are back exchanging songs. Cinta tragika was playing on repeat on my player non-stop. Till Munir suggested I listen to XPDC's Apa nak di kata. He said the lyrics would suit me very well. So I listen to it and haha, my mood zoom up faster than you could say "supercalafragalisticexpealadocious" haha. OH and yes I kinda took a liking to the lyrics and I guess XPDC is now officially one of my favorite bands.
So too all thos girls out there, whom I have gone after. Whether I succeed or not, well this song just sums it all up lah eh......

Apa Nak Di Kata
Satu hari aku berjumpa
Cik mek molek jual bunga
Senyuman manis menarik hati
Gugur bagaikan jantung ini
Siapa hati tak tertawan
Manis umpama bulan
( 1 )
Lain hari aku kembali
Ingin beli bunga lagi
Namun kini hanya yang ada
Tinggal dua nisan saja
Lesu aku menggeletar
Rakus jiwa ku terbenam
( 2 )
Engkaulah emas engkau permata
Aku cuma macam ni saja
Aku mahu bertemankan hidup
Dengan hati ikhlas mulia
Jangan melihatkan gaya
Nanti kita 'kan berdamai
( korus )
Ukuran baju badan sendiri
Kita tepuk dada ini
Jika dah nasib kita jodoh
Gunung tak lari ke mana
Apa nak kisah mahu hidup
Asal hati baik mulia
Kalau dah memang jadi mungkin
Apa lagi nak dikata
Di kata... aaa... aaa...

Kau Ilham ku by Man bai
Kau Ilham Ku
Beribu bintang dilangit
Kini menghilang
Meraba aku dalam kelam
Rembulan mengambang
Kini makin suram
Pudar ilhamku tanpa arah
Sedetik wajahmu muncul
Dalam diam
Ada kerdipan ada sinar
Itukah bintang atau rembulan
Terima kasih kuucapkan
(Chorus)
Izinkan kumencuri bayangan wajahmu
Izinkan ku mencuri khayalan denganmu
Maafkanlah oh...
Andai lagu ini
Mengganggu ruangan hidupmu
Kau senyumlah oh...
Sekadar memori
Kita di arena ini
Kau ilhamku
Kau ilhamku...
Izinkan kumencuri bayangan wajahmu
Izinkan ku mencuri khayalan denganmu
Maafkanlah oh...
Andai lagu ini
Mengganggu ruangan hidupmu
Kau senyumlah oh...
Sekadar memori

Kau ilhamku

Happy national day and a chalet worth a thousand chalets.....
Hehe sorry for the loooooooong absent. Seriously I got nothing to blog about. OK lets start of with 9th August, National day...
Singapore just turn 41. Spend the whole day at my aunt's place, well former place that is, but she haven't surrendered her keys yet so we could still have access to the place. The place was right next to kallang MRT, block 6, 15th floor. The view from her corridor was SPECTACULAR. If a picture could say a thousand words, this view could say a billion sentences. Had a little feast indian rojak, kambing soup, fried noodles, curry and many more. Abang Hamsa also came down. So it was double the fun. The highlight of the day was the aerial display. The fly past, the Red lions and of coz the fire works. It was beautiful. no wait it was more than beautiful. No words would describe the athmosphere.
But throughout the whole time, I was half expecting YOU to come down. But you didnt. Well if you had it would have been a better evening.....
Thats it for national day so lets fast forward to 11th August, Chalet worth a thousand chalets.
Woke up blardy early to meet up with Munir at Bedok interchange. Went for friday prayers at kampung Siglap mosque then walked down to the Former costa sands chalet. We were the only ones there. So we got the whole chalet to ourselves till evening. Munir brought along his Xbox but the blardy TV wasn't compatible. What a waste. So We end up playing Srabble till the others came. Jun and Reyza came next, in the middle of Smallville. Soon the rest came one by one. Had dinner at the former satay club place. Then the fun started. Played cards and the loser had to be kuti-ed on the fingers. It was fun but blardy painful at the same time. Next we played the most competitive Monopoly I've ever seen man. Started around 8plus and played till the around 7-8 in the morning. Reyza manage to control the whole board and the rest of us end up bankrupt haha. I manage to catch a few hours of sleep. Then we ordered breakfast from Old Mcdonalds. Showered and we head down to play pool. But unfortunately all of us we blardy sleepy and tired to even play properly. We were so tired that we took a cab back to the chalet.
All of us slept. Except Munir and Amin. Jun, Ibrahim and Ning woke up soon after. Reyza and me we still sleeping. It was then that Jun and the rest decided to "sabo" Reyza. Poor guy was covered in toothpaste and powder. I woke up and almost burst out laughing. Reyza woke up hours later. The moment we all saw him walk down the stairs. All started laughing.
So that evening was the BBQ cum Ahmad's birthday party. More of our friends came around 9-10plus and YOU came too. But you looked tired man plus I tried to stike up a conversation with you, you seem distracted. Nvm back to the BBQ..
Ahmad was "sabo-ed" right after he cut his cake. Soon almost everyone was covered in cake and drenched in syrup. cleaned up, ate and everyone sat down for a game of UNO. It was the biggest game of Uno I've ever played. 15 plus people. But it was blardy fun ah... Again most of us didnt sleep till around 5am. Then slowly some gave way and slept. I too manage to catch a few more hours. Woke up at 8 before everyone else and showered first since we have to check out at 1030. After every one was awake and showered. Clean up the leftovers from last night and everyone left.
I thought this was the perfect opportunity to talk to you since we will be going the same direction back to boon lay. But you decided to go back to a friends place. Well anyway the fatigue was catching up on all of us so I guess it wont be much of a conversation either.
I took the bus 30 home from Bedok all the way to Boon lay interchange. Sat in the upper deck all the way in the back and slept the whole journey home....
Reached home around 1plus. Dump my dirty laudry in the washing machine and flop I slept again till dinner time. Manage to catch the Community shield, Liverpool beat Chelsea 2-1 and went to bed again.
So woke up this morning. Body still aching abit. Fingers still trobbing from all the "kuti-ing", looks a bit swollen though haha and here I am updating me blog.
What a weekend and not forgetting I still got a month left till I leave for Tekong.
To all those who went for the chalet. Thanks guys I had a blast. WE should do another one in the future.....
I guess thats all for my weekend... Im hungry, I wonder whats for lunch.... ciao for now....

Updates
Syarah's ok now. It was around 5 that I check the temp again. 37.8 degress. So yeah her fever has goen down and guess what, she's complaining of stomachache. Told her to eat something since she didnt eat lunch coz she was sleeping.
Mum came home and took her to the doctor. Manage to get an MC and dad brought home durians. haha. But Syarah seems ok after seeing the doctor. Back to her nomal self, even ate durians. Since she was having a fever, didn't want her to eat the durians as they can get pretty heaty. Mum and dad didnt object so I shut up.
Nothing much after that. Showered after dinner, played a little xbox and here I am updating my blog. I guess this is gonna be all...

Fever
Was woken up around 11 by the phone ringing. Apparently, Syarah wasn't feeling well so had to go pick her up from school. No one was home. Mum had set off early to visit grandma in the hospital. Took a quick shower and rush down. Found out that Dad too had rush down. He was having lunch break so he came to sent Syarah and me home.
Time: 1pm
Temp: 39.4 degrees
So yup officially she's having a fever. Called mum for directions which med to give her. If you could listen to my mum belting out the names of the different types of fever medication, you would have thought she was pharmacist haha. So yeah gave Syarah her fever med and now she's sleeping. Will probably check her temp again when she wakes up.
Looks like I won't be going to the hospital today. I wonder how's grandma doing.
I guess thats all for now. I'm hungry. Just realise I haven't had lunch. Olrite off to find food ciao...

oh NTU, oh NTU, what should I do?
Followed a few of my friends to NTU today to check out their hostels. Pretty cool I must say. Living alone with your buddy, without any parental guidance haha. How I wish I could do that. Well first things first I've yet to be accepted by NTU. Another thing, I live too damn close to NTU to be living in a hostel. Nevermind I'll won't stop appealling until they do accept me or the police come knocking on my door issuing a warning to stop stalking the Dean of administration. Had lunch there, practically I spent half the day there. Went home around 6plus.
Had dinner played a little xbox and here I am updating my blog. Nothing interesting to blog either. Just updating for the sake of updating that's all...hope something intersting happens soon...
P.S.
Nenek is in the hospital. Probably will visit her tomorrow with mum. Hope she will get better soon.....

Home alone
Mum and dad are gone for the weekend along with Syarah. So its only me and my 2 other sisters. Come to think of it. This is the 1st time I have the whole house to myself. Thats cool thats cool..... except I have no idea what to make of this new found freedom. I can't like throw a party. Like in the movies. I'll probably be grounded for the rest of my life if that ever happened. Maybe when I get a house of my own, I could do that.
So they set off this morning. Sent them off. The Idea of having the car for 2 whole days without restriction was very intriguing. But somehow rather my conscience got the better of me. I guess Im just brought up too well. Drop both my sisters off at Westwood Sec carnival and I went home.
So there I was, all alone in the house. I could even get away with murder and nobody would found out. So I stood there staring.....thinking....what the hell am I gonna do? It was no different from any other day minus the parents of coz. So I thought "why did I get all excited for?". Then I remembered, my intial plan to ask a girl out . No parents to object, I had the car. I just knew it was too perfect to be true. But as you guessed it didnt happened. Then there was plan B. Gather a few of my buddies and well movie marathon or gamefest and again it didnt happened. So now here I am without a damn clue what I should do...
Turn on the tellie and fell asleep on the sofa. Woke up pick my sisters up, back home and well did some spring cleaning. Had dinner and here I am blogging. Am pretty shag. I guess I'll hit sack after this.
Man and I tot it was every kids dream to have their parents away for the weekend. I tell you, Its no different from any other ordinary day...Well maybe for me.
Boring old Syafiq... Too good for his own well being... like I said, I was brought up too well... sigh....

Shayne Ward - What about me
"What About Me"
There's a little boy waitin' at the counter
of the corner shop
He's been waitin' down there
Waiting half the day
We never ever see him from the top
He gets pushed around
Knocked to the ground
But he gets to his feet and he says...
What about me
It isn't fair
I've had enough now I wasnt my share
Can't you see
I wanna live
But you just take more then you give
There's a pretty girl standing at the
counter of the corner shop
She's been waitin' back there
Waitin' for her dreams
Her dreams walk in and I begged 'em
to stop
Well she's not too proud
To cry out loud
She runs to the street and she
screams:
What about me
It isn't fair
I've had enough now I wasn't my share
Can't you see
I wanna live
But you just take more then you give
So take a step back and see the little
people
They may be young
But they're the ones who make the big
people big
So listen
As they whisper
What about me
Now I'm standing on the corner all the
world's gone home
Nobody's changed
Nobody's been saved
And I'm feeling cold and alone
I guess I'm lucky
I smile a lot
But sometimes I wish for more
Then I go...
What about me
It isn't fair
I've had enough now I wasn't my share
Can't you see
I wanna live
But you just take more what about me
It isn't fair
I've had enough now I want my share
Can't you see
I wanna live
But you just take more
You just take more
You just take more then you give
What about me
What about me
What about me

More crazy quizzes
You scored as Art. You should be an Art major! How bohemian!
What is your Perfect Major? (PLEASE RATE ME!!<3) created with QuizFarm.com |
ARTS!?!?!?! and its tied with Journalism. Haha. I always thought I was the technical type. but then again, I like to draw...
You scored as The Amazing Spider-Man. After being bitten by a radioactive spider, Peter Parker was transformed from a nerdy high school student into New York's greatest hero. Peter enjoys the thrill of being a super hero, but he struggles with the burdens of leading a double life. He hopes someday to win the heart of his true love Mary Jane, the woman he's loved since before he even liked girls. Right now, he just wants to make it through college and pay his bills.
Which Action Hero Would You Be? v. 2.0 created with QuizFarm.com |
See even the bloody Quiz agrees I'm Spiderman. So there, No comments. I'm Spiderman.....
You scored as Obi-Wan Kenobi (Post Death of Qui-Gon Jinn). You are most like Obi-Wan Kenobi, after the death of his master. You have a powerful prescence and take the natural role of a leader. You respect the wisdom of those to come before you and are always training for personal growth. You now train the lightsaber form Soresu, a near completely defensive form, after witnessing what you considered a fatal flaw in your master\'s technique when he fell to Darth Maul. Your offense is carefully precise. You devote your life to harmony achieved through The Force and are one of four Jedi to retain identity after death.
What Star Wars Jedi or Sith character is most like your personality? created with QuizFarm.com |
"Help me Obi-Wan-Kenobi. You're my only hope"........Yeah Bebeh. I'm Obi-wan. He's cool. but then again I would prefer Darth Maul. Gotta love the double-bladed lightsaber. But I want to be a good Jedi so can't have the "Darth". I actually went online to search for a Jedi name. haha and this is what I get...
"Syajo Hasin, Nahmazda of Panadol"
Haha weird. Anybody can make their own Jedi name. Here's what you do...
1) Combine the first 3 letters of your first name and first 2 letters of your second name
(e.g. "Sya" from Syafiq and "Jo" from Johan = Syajo)
2) Take the first 2 letters of your mother's name and combine with the first 3 letters of the place you were born
(e.g. "Ha" from Haryati and "Sin" from Singapore = Hasin)
3) Then take the last 3 letters from your second name and reverse them and add the name of the first car/vehicle/bike you drove or just make one up if you dont have a licence.
(e.g. "Nah" from Johan and Mazda my 1st car = Nahmazda)
4) add a "of" here
5) lastly the name of the last prescripsion drug you took. That explains the panadol i had in my name hahaha
Add them altogether and you'll get = Syajo Hasin, Nahmazda of Panadol. Kinda like "I'm Syajo Hasin. Nahmazda(title or race or something) from the planet Panadol"
From the planet Panadol eh? haha. Oh I heard mum calling me. Oh yessssss. She just finished cooking LAKSA..... gotta run bye

Where'd the thump thump go?
Watched POTC2 last night with me mates at Bugis. It was bloody good. A little bird told me it's boring and not to watch it. Ye know what little birdy, you're dead wrong. From start to finish there was non-stop action. Everyone's back, Jack with his crazy chicken run, Liz was stunningly beautiful(even in the pirate get up she looks yummy), Will was well the typical hero, even that undead monkey was back. Oh and we get to learn more about Will and Jack's past. I love the 3 way sword fight scene and don't ever remind me of cuttlefish (I guess I'll stay clear of them for a while).
After the movie headed to a coffee shop for supper. Talked and crack jokes. It was a fun night and during fun nights everyone forgets the time. Little did we know, it was already past midnight. No choice but had to take the nightrider home. Reached home almost 2am in the morning, everyone's already asleep. Creep into my room, took a quick shower and off to bed I go, dreaming about David Jone's thump thump and Captaining me own Pirate crew.
I guess its gonna be a short entry tonight. Have no idea what to type about either. I guess it bye for now. Oh the door bell just rang. Must be the Pizza hut guy. Ciao for now

Condolences to Unsangkarable
I would like to say my condolences to the malay comedian group, Unsangkarable. For the lost of their leader, Ishak Ahmad. I may not know him personally, but I've met him several times. But my cousin however, Hamsa adon, he lost someone much more than just a friend but a mentor and a father figure. Singapore may not really know this but, we have lost someone truely gifted. A comedian, singer and a mentor/inspiration for some. Once again my condolences to Ishak's family, friends and Unsangkarable.
Key Chains
Mum when to Johor the other day with her friends and bought each of us a key chain. The kinds that have your names on it and behind is a short description of what kind of a person you are or what you're suppose to be. Here is mine. The first time I read it, I kinda laugh. Why don't you read and tell me about it, haha. OH and for those who don't understand, I'll try my best to translate for you.

Crouching leopard Hidden TKD
When for Taekwondo training last night. It been awhile I came down for training and I hafta admit I was outta shape. Could barely survive half the training now. Oh man I gotta buck up man. Enlistment is in September so I got 1 and a half month to get myself fit again. Bleargh...
SP is hosting the World Cyber Games. So our usual training ground was occupied by the WCG. Had to move to the basketball which has its pros and cons. Pros first, I can park my car in full view of the court so yeah its convenient. The showers are practically nearer in my opinion. But the cons I hate training bare-footed at the court. Blisters I tell you, they'll pop up like pop corn. So luckily I brought my training shoes along.
Trained with Elmo (No. not that cute red furry monster from Sesame Street). Its funny though. I still remember 3 years ago when I first started TKD. Elmo was my instructor and I was always picked to be his demonstrator haha. He's so big and I swear I kick from him and I'll be having cramps for the rest of the week. But he's a nice guy. The BFG (Big Friendly Giant). Now 3 years later nothing's change. He still likes to pick me to be his partner to train. Although I'm already black belt now, I still see him as my instructor and not just another guy who is on the same level. I guess the respect is there.
Oh I finally got my black belt card and cert after, let me see (counting fingers) 6 freaking months. So yeah I got promoted in January and now in July I got my card and cert. Oh and Hairoul, your cert and card is with me bro. Give me a call if you read this message. Called you last night but nobody pick up the phone.
Was totally shagged after training last night. Was fighting fatigue while driving man. Now thats dangerous. Luckily there wasn't much traffic last night. Hadn't had dinner, so was kinda famish when I reached home. Heat up the leftovers and ate while watching "Growing Up Wild" on Animal planet. I love that show. Every episode shows a certain baby animal growing up. And I tell you no matter what, animal or human, a baby will still remain CUTE. Even if you're a baby warthog. I dunno maybe thats how God made them. Baby = CUTE.
I'm very big on cats. Big cats or small cats, wild or domestic, I still love them. Last night's episode was about the "Clouded Leopard". Not many people know much about them. Same goes for me. But I learn a few facts about them last night that I would like to share.
-They are the smallest of the big cats.
-They are the closest living creature to the Saber-toothed tiger. So if you wonder what a saber-toothed tiger would look like alive today. There you go, the Clouded leopard but on a smaller scale.
-They got the longest canine in relation to the body size of any wild cat.
-They can climb trees
-Hard to breed in captivity
-Lastly they are on the Endangered species list.
So there you are 6 random fact about the "Clouded Leopard". I think thats all for now. Will blog later or tml. bye

If you're not a manc, you're a wank!!!
Woke up this morning to the wonderful sounds of metal drilling through concrete. There they go again. My wonderful one floor up neighbour has suddenly either
1)Moved(So I presume the new neighbours are renovating the place)
2)Has suddenly decided that he is bored with how his flat looks like
3)Has got a new hobby and thinks he is Phua Chu Kang.
Anyway, Couldn't get anymore sleep with those thrashing noises. Woke up, did my thang, had breakfast(Wow I actually had breakfast. hmm when was the last time I did that?), reach for my old trusty ear plugs from my NCC days and here I am blogging with my ears plugged enjoying mini-earthquakes vibrating amidst my bedroom walls.
Last night watched 2 movies. "The girl next door" and "Eurotrip". The former was aired on Star Movies and the latter was downloaded from the net.
First up "The girl next door". Funny movie. Elisha Cuthbert was FANTASTIC. But since I saw it on Tv, I miss all the juicy parts. Which reminds me, gotta download the movie *evil grin*. Pretty Average movie about a boy graduating high school, typically the "loser", "class president", "brainiac" type. No girlfriend absolutely no luck with the opposite sex. Then 1 day beautiful neighbour move in next door and the rest is history. Hmm how I wish I could be him. Smart guy and wins the sexy girl in the end. So who wanna be my girl next door? Anybody? Anyone?
Next "Eurotrip". Now thats a fantastic movie. If you had enjoyed or loved "Roadtrip", "Eurotrip" is better and "JUCIER" *evil grin again*. I don't wanna spoit the movie so go watch it.
You know what. I've always wanted to travel to europe and see the world. Mainly England, Germany, Spain, Italy, Holland, France, Turkey and many2 more. Maybe I'll backpack. From Singapore up through Malaysia and make my way up to England. Now that's a Eurotrip. Now before I start making plans whatsoever. Gotta take note of certain stuffs.
-Watchout for weird looking guys in trains
-Check the date first before heading to the "beach" (You know what beach im talkin about *evil grin once again*)
-Amsterdam is a MUST-STOP place
-Never anyhow ring bells in Rome
-Visit a Manchester United pub!!! (But I don't drink ok Just see see look look)
-Oh lastly make sure you learn the language of the country your visiting. You wouldn't want to end up in Barislava or somewhere.
Then again going alone would be pointless. Gotta rope in a few friends. So who's game? maybe I could bring along my "girl next door". but that wouldn't be fun. Its better to be unattached on these trips. Hehe. Ok lah better stop before I start dreaming again...

ITALY WORLD CHAMPIONS
So Italy won the world cup. Not exactly my first choice team to win but still, Italy will always a soft spot in my heart and I'm very happy for them. Kudos to Cannavaro and gang for persevering till the end. Italy started out strong but unfortunately conceded a penalty in the early minutes. But the same guy who conceded the penalty, Materazzi, redeems himself by scoring the equaliser soon after. After that it was stalemate all the way till penalty shoot-out. As cruel as it may seem there has to be a winner and Italy edge out France in the end...
But France did perform well I must add. Frank Ribery and Thiery Henry were superb. Zidane? well he was pure class except that sending off incident in the 107th minute for headbutting who else? Materazzi, "Stone cold" Steve Austin style. Haha. Well as much admiration and respect I have for Zizou, that gesture really disappoints me.
Materazzi's to blame too for provoking him. Anyway poor Zizou we couldn't even come into the pitch to receive the losers medal. What a way to end his career. I hope he won't go down into history as the guy who Head butt France out of the finals. JUst like R.Baggio, such a good player but was remembered as the guy who missed that penalty and Eric Cantona for his infamous flying kick. Is it a trend nowadays to end your career in such a "high" fashion?
Anyway Zidane is a genius in my opinion. Its just sad that he has to end in such a way. Eh I tought Shakira was gonna perform during the finals singing that Bamboo song? Tak nampak pun batang hidung dia. Anyway the "celebrate the day" song is pretty nice. Its been playin in my head non-stop.
Oh well its Italy's year this year. I can't what for the next world cup in 4 years time... South Africa I wonder what's the time difference??

love actually?
Watched Love actually for like the umpteen time. Its a nice movie which never fails to move me. For those who have not yet watched the movie. I urge you to watch it. Trust me you'll love it. Its a movie complilation of 10 love stories in it and somehow somewhere each story intertwines with each other. My personal favorites would be the Prime minister's story, the writer and his house-cleaner, the bestfriend and the story about the boy and his father. Just go watch it lah its nice
So and the day is here. The FIFA WORLD CUP FINAL. ITALY vs FRANCE. Who would have thought these two teams would reach the finals. I admit I didnt. So its gonna be another epic battle of europes 2 biggest teams. Can the French do it? or will the Azzuris pull another Italian Job. Who knows lets go watch.
Game starting soon. I can hear the the crowd cheering...
P.S
GO ITALY!!!! hehe

Reminisce
Last night had a dream, well its not exactly a dream. It was more of a memory.
Ever had that feeling, wishing you could relieve a certain memory over and over again. I have.
She was a nice girl. Smart and Independant. We kinda hit it off the first time we met(I guess we did). I remember the 1st time I met her. She was a friend's friend. Was on the train home, from TKD training and we were fooling around making fun of each other. I can't really remember what the joke was but we were laughing like nobody's business.
The first time I aske her out. Hmm it was valentine's day. But we didn't really go out or anything. Just meet up for awhile then accompany her back home. A stalk of red rose was involved too. The last time I heard of it, Its been pressed and dried. I wonder how is it doing now?
After that everything was history. Some of you must be wondering who or where is she now? Well can I safely that she's one of my very good friends now. Kam ching ho!!! haha. Correct or not? I bet you're reading this now. Anyway I rather have you as a friend than not to have you at all. cheers. May our friendship last.

The French Connection
Zidane came out tops last night, after scoring a crucial penalty to prevent Portugal from advancing to the finals in Berlin. After beating Brasil in the quarter-finals, France look very confident that they could beat Portugal. It was a battle of wits in midfield between Figo and Zidane. But Judging from the performance of both veterans, Zidane looked much sharper that Figo. Anyway Scolari started off the game with only Pauleta upfront alone. Which I think was a bad idea. How to score with only 1 sriker. Although they came close a couple of times. Still it wasn't enough. Then again France also started of with Henry alone upfront haha. Portugal started off strong. Ronaldo with his amazing speed and agility on the flanks cut through the French defence like hot knife through butter. But after going down 1 nil, from the penalty in the 33rd minute, Portugal starts to crumble down due to pressure. Ronaldo starts becoming selfish. That boy have to learn when to be/not to be selfish.
Anyway like I've said earlier it was gonna be a French-Italian affair. Dad's rooting for a French victory. I'm in the other hand rooting for the Azzuris. So its gonna be another father-son rivalry this finals. Just like when Liverpool meets Manchester United. (i'm with Man U in case u didnt know). I dunno why but i just dont like the French team. They have great players no doubt. But I just dont like them. Maybe because I kinda associate them with Arsenal.(I dont like Arsenal. Sorry to all Arsenal fans.)
World Cup's coming to an end. "Mummy its over!!!!"(*starts bawling ala Just for laughs*). It was fun while it lasted. Oh by the way the Gillette Best young player award have shortlisted 6 to win the title. who are the 6 you ask? In random order...
-Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal)
-Lionel Messi (Argentina)
-Luis Valencia (Ecuador)
-Tranquillo Barnetta (Switzerland)
-Cesc Fabregas (Spain)
-Lucas Podolski (Germany)
For more information visit here. Right now leading the votes is Valencia but close behind in 2nd place is Ronaldo and Messi 3rd. My vote goes to Ronaldo but after the little incident between Rooney and him, I doubt many people will vote for him. It was shown clearly last night during the French and Portugal game that whenever he gets the ball, he's constantly Boo-ed by the crowd. BUt I must admire his determination. Despite the jeering, he turn a deaf ear and kept on playing.
I guess that about it for now. Spider sense tingling...Feeling hungry. Gonna swing to the kitchen. cheerio

The Return of the Azzuris
SHOCKER!!!
This year is definately not my World Cup year. All my predictions were completely wrong. First Brasil, then England now Germany. hahaha. But the Azzuris played well yesterday. It is true that I have a soft spot for the Italians. It is funny but the 1st time I started liking them was during the 1994 world cup final, where they were beaten by Brazil in a Penalty shootout. Yes it was also the year that Roberto Baggio missed that dreaded penalty.
But their recent performances haven't been very satisfying and I kinda lost that feeling for them. Especially their "dramas". Always falling, always diving, trying to win a penalty or get someone booked. That's not Joga Bonita.
BUT BUT last night's performance and the Quarter final match versus Ukraine was fantastic. They played well but maybe for a few stumbles, nobody's perfect. Yesterday they reminded be of why I had liked them in the first place. Sheer style, Mafia style haha.
Then again the Germans. I salute you guys. You may be young and inexperience, but you guys showed that with sheer determination, you can go far. I'm sad to see klinsi and his men go home losers but thats football. There can be only ONE. They played well. But they will be back in 4 years time. Then they are no longer young and inexperience.
So most of the favorites are out, Brasil, Germany, Argentina, England and Spain. SO now its up to Portugal and France tonight to determined who will face Italy in Berlin for the final. It gonna be the "battle of the oldies" haha. FIGO vs ZIZOU. 2 of the most influencial, most skillfull, most brilliant midfield mestros in the world. Go head to Head tonight. Its gonna be an explosive match tonight cant wait. YUMMY!!!!
Something tells me its gonna be an Italian-French affair. But then again my predictions aren't exactly winners. But it would be nice to see C.Ronaldo and gang in the finals. My "mini-brasil", Portugal.
OK Spider sense is tingling.... Mum's calling me. Better go see what she wants...ciao

Singapore Poly Graduation Ceremony 2006
Finally, with my Diploma in hand, I can officially declare myself a......*drum rolls* Diploma holder!!!! *applause*.
Ok lame. But yeah can finally breath easy. Just seeing that piece of paper and all those hard work 3 years ago, was definately worth it. Every single minute of it. Mum and Dad were there to witness. Its a pity its a school day or else Putri, Meera and Syarah would have came along. The ceremony itself was pretty ok. It was quite fast actually and the reception afterwards was mediocre. But I got excess to the VIP reception room, which was WAY WAY better than the normal reception.
Took a lot of photos to commemorate the occasion. Mum and Dad left after the immense photo taking. My friends and I then went off to celebrate. Headed down to orchard for lunch then caught a movie. Wanted to watch Scary Movie 4 or Superman Returns but most of them watched it already. Then it came down to Silent Hill and a korean movie titled "The King and the Clown". Silent Hill would have been a better choice but someone didn't want to watch it. So we settled for the king and the clown. Figured that because of the word "CLOWN" we assume, actually not we, SOMEONE assumed that it was a funny show so I just went with the flow.
The opening was damn boring, but the it started to get funnier towards the middle and end. It was about a king who fell in love with a transvestite clown. So it was a mix of korean literature with romance and comedy. Not the best movie I've watched and definately not worth my 7 bucks. sucks. Almost fell asleep it between scenes.
After the movie went to play pool. Then head home. Wanna be home early to catch the World Cup Semi-finals.
Hope I made you guys proud
More picture will be uploaded here. So just keep watching out for it.

C.Ronaldo I am not....
Hey um, this entry is meant for someone. Whether she reads it or not, I just wanna get it out.
As the title above states, I am no Cristiano Ronaldo. I don't have his looks nor do I have the skills he posesses. I may not be very tall nor am I very intellectual. But I do know that I can be the kindest, healthy, silliest soccer playing bookworm you can find.
We didnt really get off on the right foot. My 1st and 2nd impression didnt really went that well. So hopefully the 3rd times a charm.
Obviously knowing that we have mutual friends don't really help and Im not sure if having simmilarities would either.
Maybe you need a brief introduction of who I really am and I know many readers out there may or may not know me already but for those who do. Just bear with it maybe you might just find out something new about me. So here goes...
My full name is Muhammad Syafiq bin Mohamed Johan. I'm 20 this year. Currently waiting for enlistment on the 7th of September. Eldest in the family with 3 other siblings(all girls). Im also Javanese. My dad says my ancesters came from central Java in a province call Solo(Keturunan Han Solo lah... haha).
I've spent all my 20 years in the westside of Singapore. Seldom do I venture to the east, north or south of Singapore. As I can safetly say that I would rather prefer to indulge in the comforts of my home.
4 years of education in a neighbourhood school with I'm very proud of, Jurongville Secondary school. Most of my fondest memories were made there. Next 3 years were spent in Singapore Polytechnic, more fond memories and it was here that I didn't regret choosing Polytechnic life from Junior College. Because I wouldn't have meet so many good friends and also it was through one of them that I was given the chance to meet you.
I like to read, yes I too would like to sit down time to time with a good book in my hands. I play sports like soccer, rugby, hockey, basketball, badminton, taekwondo and others. But soccer and taekwondo would be my favorites. I may not be the athletic type with a body to die for nor do I excell in any of them. I play because I enjoy them. I do like to spend my time playing computer games also if im not out sweating my butt off.
I can cook. No, maggi and cooking rice in the rice cooker does not count. I mean really really cook. May not be very good at it but I see it as a need, a necessity in life. Survival. I'm pretty handy with my hands. I can make stuffs. Simple stuffs like origami to complicated things like building a computer from scratch. I've got my license to drive. I would very much like to say that I've jump out of a plane at 10,000 feet but I failed to make the cut. So It didnt happen.
Fears. hmm I don't like the common house gecko. Ok it may not sound macho but It was a childhood incident so the fear stuck. I'm afraid of being dislike/hate by people. It drives me nuts, hence the "2nd impression on you" hope you understand why the drama. But I'll try to change. I use to hate roller coasters but I conquered that fear.
I'm a big fan of Manchester United. My favorite player would be Ryan Giggs and Peter schmeichel. Eric cantona IS a legend. Chelsea and liverpool is ok but I don't like Jose Mourinho(sorry) and I definately don't like Arsenal(sorry again). I like listening to rock music, then again I listen to all genres but I would ease off the techno music(don't really like them). Which brings to the case that I've never been clubbing nor step into a club/pub whatever you guys call them. Never smoke. Ok to some of you out there to whom I've said, I use to smoke. Sorry I lied.
I love comics and I'm a fan of Spiderman. Use to think that I could become spiderman by letting a spider bit me and I use to climb about everywhere when I was young. In my room, the store room, everywhere. But that was once upon a time ago. But I would love to jump round once in awhile just to satisfy the kid in me.
What kind of books I read? Hmm mostly spy novels but most of them are pretty old books past down by my father. I like books by Anne Rice because I like to read about vampires and stuffs also. Dan brown is superb for the da vinci code and angels and demons. I still think though that Angels and Demons is much much better than DVC. I a fan for star wars so yup I do read their novels. Michael Crichton's books are also good. OH and I also like those lit texts like Julius Cesar, to kill a mocking bird, clay marble, red sky in the morning(all which I did for literature in school and I love every minute of it), Romeo and Juliet and more. But my favorite author of all time would be Roald Dahl. Haha yeah probably most people would associate Roald Dahl books for kids and teenagers but I still find them facinating and interesting to read. My favorite book by him would be "switch Bitch" definately a recommendation by me to you. Other books that I have read and would like to recommend you be "Master of the Game" by Sidney Sheldon and "The Last Vampire" by Whitley Strieber
I aspire to become a policeman. I would like to join the police force and hope to be one of the best. Probably to the fact that my father use to poison my mind with crime stories and movies. I think that James Bond is the best spy movie of all time and Mission Impossible is just superb. Crime Scene Investigation(CSI) is an inspiration, in fact any police/cop movie or show is an inspiration to me.
I do watch dramas/sitcoms like One Tree Hill, the O.C, smallville, Friends, who's line is it anyway, Joey, Las Vegas, Numb3rs, Supernatural and many more. There are too many to name anyway.
I like any sports movies like GOAL, the longest yard, the replacements, The Mighty Ducks part 1,2&3, bend it like beckham, varsity blues and many more lah. I also like any movies directed or produce by John Woo. example: broken arrow and Face/Off. Oh and sci-fi/fiction/fantasy also appeals to me Lord of the rings trilory, Star Wars from Episode 1 to 6, Back to the Future 1,2&3, Spiderman 1,2(of course), Batman(all of them), Superman(all of them also) but I think Hulk was a let down. But I do have a softer side of watching love stories like Ghost and love actually.
Any achievements? Well was a bit of a geek back in primary and secondary school(who wouldn't? You should see me wearing those dorky glasses) so plenty of science quizes and such. But I did join a few sports competition and win some also. High jump, long jump, X-country, soccer, TKD and more. Oh and I did win a few art competitions. There's a bit of an artist in me somewhere.
Anymore? I dunno, I guess I've revealed quite alot about myself today. Maybe that's what you need to consider loosening yourself a bit towards me. I know you don't normally makes friends with people on the net. But maybe you could make this an exception? Just don't think that I'm desperate to get to know you or that I think your a stuck up b!@#$. I think your sweet and pretty nice under that hard/icy exterior. I know that your pretty well know for being an ice queen. But I believe thats just a mask or costume your wearing, underneath your nice and sweet. Damn I'm talking in circles.
I dunno about this but this is what I assume forgive me if Im wrong. Maybe just maybe you've had a bad experience somewhere somehow and that's the reason for the icy masquerade. Maybe a bad relationship or or or.... something bad ah, can't think of any reasons right now.
Its not good to keep it yourself or put up a false face telling the world that you're ok and nothing is wrong. Maybe opening up to others could make you a better person?
This is just assumptions and may not be true. Well I hope it is not true and its just who you are. icy and stubborn. haha...
OMFG its already 3am. I guess thats all for now...
